EAST LONDON PRESS exclusively reveals the diabolical role played by Jim F... and predicts very unsteady times ahead for the fixer who sank Dobson

Jim Fitzpatrick has been a mechanical component of the democracy-lacking, amoral machine that is the nuLabour bureaucracy.

In that cog position, he easily achieved one of the very achievable goals. Jim Fitzpatrick sank Frank Dobson down the hole at the first poll for the mayoral tussle staged in London under the auspices of the original denier of democracy, Tony Blair..

Fitzpatrick did so by looking and sounding even LESS commendable in the context of London than did the candidate that he was apparently flogging.

For despite all his tales about being fluent in French and empirically authoritative in matters to do with a variety of ‘continental’ sexual predilections and hyperactivity in that domain, Frank Dobson failed definitively to appeal even to the adulterous of the London voters.

One topical question that forces itself to the top of the questionnaire for Jim Fitzpatrick today: Did he resign in protest against Frank Dobson’s admitted sexual obsessions?

Shouldn’t Fitzpatrick have resigned?

Or to put it in today’s’ phrase, ‘walk out’ of Frank Dobson’s campaign?

EAST LONDON PRESS invites Barack OBAMA to take a walk down Brick Lane and check how long it takes before a marked Police vehicle drives past him

Barack Obama may have been castigated by the racists in the West for making that intervention over the arrest at his own him of the ‘African American’ Harvard University academic.. But Obama is by a long measure far from alone in expressing his anger at the racist stupidity of the act. Stupid politicians on both sides of the Atlantic are set to make things worse.

EAST LONDON PRESS brings rare news for Mr George Galloway MP for Bethnal Green and Bow

EAST LONDON PRESS brings rare news for Mr George Galloway MP for Bethnal Green and Bow.

This time it is probably also another understated exclusive news service for the public that EAST LONDON PRESS has performed.

Mr George Galloway has become particularly notorious about his appearance on the Channel 4 BB House in January 2006.

It is even possible that he shed a tear or two after his behaviour hit the headlines then.

The tears he may have shed back in January 2006, we say this hypothetically of course, may be nothing as compared with the tears of remorse that he may find himself shedding if he fails to correct his latest utterance on the BBC. His utterance we here refer to was a small one. But it carries a big weight. The weight may get heavier than Mr George Galloway has the capacity to carry. He said on the BBC programme ‘Question Time’ that he is in his constituency every single day. He used the present indefinite:

I AM in my constituency every day! Now, surely, that cannot be true. So where was Mr Galloway on Sunday 2 August 2009? Wherever else in Bethnal Green and Bow he was, it was not the Altab Ali Park… There, a man who spoke in Mr George Galloway’s name, and called himself Kevin…

This Kevin did not look like he had just flown in Air Force One. But that is what he was suggesting.

In a manner of spiel.

Kevin was appearing as an adopted Bangladeshi co-presenting a spiel worthy of any politico eagerly seeking reconnection with the source of popular applause, however contrived.

There is no suggestion that Kevin Ovenden was eager to be consigned to that status.

But he introduced himself with words so formidable that people with learning difficulty might be frightened .. He said he was the Chief of Staff to Mr George Galloway!

It was like being played a diktat from the GW Bush White House.. Or may be even the B Obama one. There had never been such an announcement at the Altab Ali Park before… May be Mr Ovenden is ahead of the dilapidated EAST LONDON PRESS analysts.

May be Mr Ovenden knew, knows a thing or two about the real relationship that has come to being between the apparently Muslim community based leadership and the British security services and the Metropolitan Police.

May be Mr Ovenden himself has now been allocated a place at the Tower Hamlets version of COBRA…

For there were no identifiable or uniformed Police from the Metropolitan Police at the rally. But there were visibly Muslim-dressed young adults busily approaching ‘suspicious’ individuals and introducing themselves as ‘security’.

All the ‘suspicious’ ‘looking’ individuals at the Altab Ali Park were of course Bangladeshis known for their records of leading campaigns in defence of the community.

The ‘security’ personnel were deployed with the evident purpose of keeping the campaigning Bangladeshis ‘securely’ away from the lines of ‘leaders’ sitting on the ground and waiting to be called to deliver their allocated pieces.

The event was apparently to do with a dam soon to be built at TIPAIMUKH in Manipur state in north-eastern India, on a spot not far impact-wise from the Indian border with Bangladesh in Sylhet.

Sylhet is home to the overwhelming majority of Bangladeshis in the UK. And this being the case in Tower Hamlets, Mr Ovenden’s introduction to himself as the Chief of Staff may have gone down as a badly needed reassurance that a reformed East India Company had at last recognised its true role and dispatched an advance party of defenders led by Mr Ovenden against the Indian Dam onslaught! For such is the state of brainwashing in all languages in the world today that whenever a Chief of Staff is announced, the Field Marshall may scarcely be far behind…

EAST LONDON PRESS has found another strange 'news' item. On the BBC!

0040 Hrs GMT
London
Saturday 25 July 2009

It is a very strange news item indeed.

The BBC is definitely losing its touch. Had it a touch before?!

Putting on their online news site an item based on a lazy programme hosted by the in-house family entrepreneur David Dimbleby is not good enough. In fact it is an insult to the people who have paid the licence fee.

In future, the licence fee may be paid far less regularly than has been the case for decades.

One reason for the BBC’s losing the licence fee monopoly is that the Corporation is becoming ridiculously incompetent.

The BBC ought to have known better than to spread the fantasy that the East London people needed an arm-chair sloppy programme to be told about life in East London this week.

EAST LONDON PRESS reading some news:Obama on Suss treatment of Harvard black academic

Obama wades into race row over Harvard professor's arrest

President says officer 'acted stupidly' in arresting Henry Louis Gates and highlights history of police racism

President Barack Obama has waded deep into an increasingly bitter race row by saying that a white police officer "acted stupidly" in arresting a renowned black Harvard professor, Henry Louis Gates, after he forced the door of his own home.

The president's additional comments about a long history of police racism amid accusations that one of the country's most prominent African-American scholars was detained only because he is black has dampened enthusiasm for claims that Obama's election takes America "post-racial".

Gates was arrested for disorderly conduct after neighbours called the police when they saw him and a black taxi driver attempting to force the jammed front door of his home in Cambridge, Massachusetts.

What transpired is disputed but after producing identification to show that he was at his own house, a row ensued in which Gates demanded an officer's name and badge number and accused him of racial profiling. The police sergeant then arrested him for disorderly conduct.

"This is what happens to black men in America!" Gates yelled to a crowd outside his house as he was handcuffed. Charges were later dropped.

"The Cambridge police acted stupidly in arresting somebody when there was already proof that they were in their own home," he said. "What I think we know, separate and apart from this incident, is that there is a long history in this country of African-Americans and Latinos being stopped by law enforcement disproportionately. And that's just a fact."
Obama had earlier lightened the mood by wondering what would happen if he were trying to break in to his own home.

"Here, I'd get shot," he said of the White House.

But Obama's comment was also taken as an observation about the assumptions white police officers make about black men in responding to reports of criminal behaviour.

Gates said he was pleased with the president's support.

"I think it was brilliant," he said in an interview with the broadcaster Tavis Smiley. "It is a great speech about race, and race relations, particularly between black people and white people at the beginning of the 21st century."

Gates said the arrest made him aware of how minorities are vulnerable "to capricious forces like a rogue policeman".

But the police officer at the centre of the row, Sergeant James Crowley, told a Boston radio station that he won't be apologising and that it is "disappointing that he [Obama] waded into what should be a local issue".

"I know what I did was right," he said.

Other officials were prepared to apologise to Gates, including the mayor of Cambridge, Denise Simmons, who called him to say that the arrest was "regrettable and unfortunate". The state governor, Deval Patrick, said he was troubled and upset over the incident.

Gates has won considerable support from other academics, some of whom have said that there is a mistaken belief among some white Americans that the country is moving beyond racial issues after Obama's election.
Gates agrees.

"I thought the whole idea that America was post-racial and post-black was laughable from the beginning. There is no more important event in the history of black people in America than the election of Barack Obama ... but that does not change the percentage of black men in prison, the percentage of black men harassed by racial profiling," he told the New America Foundation.

"There haven't been fundamental structural changes in America. There's been a very important symbolic change and that is the election of Barack Obama. But the only black people who truly live in a post-racial world in America all live in a very nice house on 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue [the White House]."

Black scholar arrest angers Obama

Henry Louis Gates
Prof Henry Louis Gates is a prominent Harvard scholar

The US president has said police acted "stupidly" when they arrested a black Harvard scholar outside his own home.

Prof Henry Louis Gates was held last week in Cambridge, Massachusetts, home to the top university where he teaches.

Barack Obama said the US had a long history of African-Americans being disproportionately stopped by police.

Officers were called to Prof Gates's house after a woman reported seeing two black males - the professor and his driver - trying to force entry.

Although the exact facts of the incident are disputed, Prof Gates was asked to provide the officer with identification. He was then asked to step outside his house and was arrested.

Mr Obama said: "I think it's fair to say, number one, any of us would be pretty angry.

"Number two... the Cambridge police acted stupidly in arresting somebody when there was already proof that they were in their own home."

President Obama: "The Cambridge police acted stupidly in arresting somebody when there was already proof that they were in their own home"

An initial disorderly conduct charge was dropped and Cambridge police called the arrest "regrettable and unfortunate".

'Rogue policeman'

Mr Obama said federal officials should work with local police to "improve policing techniques so that we're eliminating potential bias".

He said that when he was in the Illinois state legislature, he had worked towards a racial profiling bill because there was indisputable evidence that African-Americans and Hispanics were being stopped disproportionately.

"And that is a sign, an example of how race remains a factor in the society," he said.

Prof Gates has said he was "outraged" by the arrest and called the officer, Sgt James Crowley, a "rogue policeman". Sgt Crowley has refused to apologise.

During the confrontation between the two men, the 58-year-old professor reportedly said: "This is what happens to black men in America."

His lawyer said Prof Gates had just returned from a trip overseas and, upon arriving at the property with a driver, found his front door jammed and had to force it open.

By the time police arrived at the house, he and the driver had managed to get inside the property.

According to police, Prof Gates shouted at the officer and accused him of racial bias.

Poverty of the MPs is in the grotesque shamelessness... and petty greed

Poverty of the MPs is in the grotesque shamelessness... and petty greed
EAST LONDON PRESS says at 0510 Hrs on Tuesday 31 March 2009: It is not just Harry Cohen, the east London MP who used to flaunt a faker beard and spout strings of calculated socialistic confections... Having lost BOTH in order to stay on the bandwagon, Cohen seems to have also lost any sense of rationality. And dignity. How else could he be saying those things, comparing himself to Churchill in that way? There were indeed many flaws in Churchill’s life and character. But Harry Cohen is not remotely convincing as a comparable Member of Parliament...Or as a member of society... What Cohen’s banal boast tells us about him is that he belongs to a parliament of political, mental, moral pigmies with no evident shame...
