EAST LONDON PRESS questions Gordon Brown's latest embarrassment over MPs’ 'expenses' and the general corruption of peers, ministers.

And the hangers-on of the Govt party.

Who do the peers represent?
What is there to ‘question’ anyone’s ’embarrassment’.

There is a lot. This ‘embarrassment’ is a referernce to Brown’s statements.

Statements that are intrinsically ignorant, dishonest and offensive.

They are offensive because they treat the public as being less intelligent than Brown.

They are dishonest because Brown starts from a dishonest premiss.

And then he has to be dragged into an approximate shade of honesty, if there are enough vigilant members of the public watching his antics.

As have happened over his many somersaults over so many inquiries, reviews etc on so many events and issues.

The behaviour of ‘Baroness’ of ‘Bethnal Green’ Pola Uddin over the past 11 years shows that she is on a licence.

To do as she fancies.

As long as she is not upsetting her masters.

First it was Tony Blair.

Now it is Gordon Brown.

This is why Brown’s latest statement typically condescending the British public as the masters that he and his MPs will serve from now, is worthy of examination.

What has Brown to say for the likes of Pola Uddin?

Who gave her any mandate to do what? Who was it that asked the Tony Blair Govt to make Pola Uddin a peer?

On what basis? If we look at Pola Uddin’s many appearances on the BBC we can see a pattern.

It is that she was treated as the new licensed ethnic token from the broadly speaking Bangladeshi population in Britain. Her tokenist service was to the bandwagon of Tony Blair.

She was configured to fit the slot that had to be filled.

She very nearly looked like an ethnic. And as if there were some doubts she was slotted in to make noises suggesting that she was also a Muslim.

And the fact that she was of the gender categories being furiously advanced in all career directions made Pola Uddin a perfect fit. Except that it did not.

None of it did.

Until she was launched on the viewing and the listening public, Pola Uddin had no basis. Not in the way that she was suddenly imposed on people by the BBC.

And 11 years later, she still has no basis.

The only thing that can be found in Pola Uddin’s ‘record’ is that she has been included in a number of ethnic lists.

May be a dozen ethnic lists. May be hundreds of ethnic lists.

She has been choreographed to stand and sit and mime as part and parcel of a programme of misinformation.

To most people who have been assumed by the programme makers to have no brains, Pola Uddin has been presented as the image that meets all the robotic measurements.

And now look what she has been made of.

She certainly has not heard of anything called dignity. Or modesty. Or self respect.

According to the very rare investigative report carried out by the SUNDAY TIMNES Insight team, Pola Uddin really is beyond the pale. After months of their asking her questions that would be so straight to any self respecting ordinary member of the public, ‘Baroness’ ‘Uddin’ of 'Bethnal Green’ has carried on being in denial about it all...

Why?

Because she has done some very embarrassing and unjustified things. Like that bulking over in Bangladesh with worryingly breathtaking display. She made a special addition to display a symbol of the British Houses of Parliament on that building over in Bangladesh.

What does that show?

To Bangladeshi people, that would be an act of such obscenity and bad taste that words could not be found to match the outrage caused by her behaviour.

Now, hundreds of bloggers and others in Britain have described Pola Uddin as a thief who should be prosecuted and even deported to Bangladesh.

And in the same vein, many have accused the Bangladeshis and Muslims in Britain of any number of wrongs as linked with Pola Uddin’s behaviour.

Is that a right thing?

Gordon Brown often uses a phrase, ‘that is the right thing to do’.

Was Pola Uddin right to do what she did?

Was she right to bring into disrepute so many people who neither knew who she was nor had any say on why Blair made her a peer?

Who was it that told Blair to make Pola Uddin a peer in 1998?

And on what basis?

Poverty of the MPs is in the grotesque shamelessness... and petty greed
EAST LONDON PRESS says at 0510 Hrs on Tuesday 31 March 2009: It is not just Harry Cohen, the east London MP who used to flaunt a faker beard and spout strings of calculated socialistic confections... Having lost BOTH in order to stay on the bandwagon, Cohen seems to have also lost any sense of rationality. And dignity. How else could he be saying those things, comparing himself to Churchill in that way? There were indeed many flaws in Churchill’s life and character. But Harry Cohen is not remotely convincing as a comparable Member of Parliament...Or as a member of society... What Cohen’s banal boast tells us about him is that he belongs to a parliament of political, mental, moral pigmies with no evident shame...
